Terpindor Social Media Campaign

To attract incoming freshmen and boost their social media following, the University Libraries created Terpindor (A portmanteu of Testudo, the school mascot, and griffindor). The campaign monopolized on the new Harry Potter movie, “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.” Students had to follow the University Library’s Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat to receive tasks and hints which would award them with a T-Shirt. This project received two CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education) Awards—Gold in the 2016 CASE Dirstrict II Accolades Awards Program and Bronze in the 2017 International Multimedia campaigns.

I was the lead designer for conceptualizing and creating Terpindor and the related collatoral. More information about the project can be seen in the UMD Libraries CASE Award application. More images of terpindor can be seen on Instagram.
